Ministering the gospel of Jesus Christ must happen both at home and away, at the same time. Jesus gave the church a very specific mission:

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. ~ Acts 1:8

IMG_0207In Acts 13 the Jerusalem church began the first church-planting mission, sending away some of the best of their leadership in order to spread the gospel and plant churches. Faith Baptist Church (FBC) in Emalahleni, South Africa is doing the same. In 2014 FBC ordained Pastor Sthembiso Mahlangu to the gospel ministry and he came on pastoral staff. For many years—even before his ordination—Sthembiso’s desire was to plant churches. When God calls, we must go. When God calls we must also send. We believe God is calling now.

By January 2017 Pastor Sthembiso will be shifting to the position of church-planting missionary, sent out by FBC in Emalahleni. We believe God is leading FBC to establish two new church plants: 1) in Dennilton, Limpopo, and 2) in Spring Valley, Emalahleni. Pastor Sthembiso will be overseeing both of these church plants.

This is a huge milestone; the church-plant is now planting other churches! What an incredible blessing, and we thank you for your continued partnership with us. These churches are being born because you sent us, and we are able now to send others.

For more information on these new church plants, and the new building program at FBC in Emalahleni, subscribe at the bottom of our home page.
